London Fashion Week - Jasper Conran Autumn/Winter 2013

Neon is definitely the colour of the season according to Jasper Conran.

Models walked along to chart hits which went hand in hand with the bright and youthful designs. Classic cut blazers came first - in neon of course - complete with matching straight skirts and tights. There were shift dresses, leather dress suits, smart black hats, fur and an array of colourful loafers. Then came the sequined dresses. Pretty feminine dresses finished off the show.

(p.s.) apologies for the quality of the pictures, my camera decided to throw a tantrum

fashion week summary

Today was AMAZING.

London Fashion Week has exceeded my expectations for sure... Anya and I were blown away.

London has completely tired me out so I'll fill you all in tomorrow (I'll include pictures - yay) but if I was asked to sum up Jasper Conrans show in one word, that word would be... NEON.

feeling lucky...

Hola!

Wow, what a week. When I started this blog, I imagined myself to be posting constantly but then life got in the way. Tomorrow's the day. The day I've been dreading.

On a more positive note, I entered two fashion related competitions recently and guess what? I won them both!

The first was the chance to see Mary Katrantzou's exclusive showcase with champagne on arrival and a free MULBERRY (yes MULBERRY!) tote bag. Unfortunately, the show is tomorrow... which means I can't go. However, her designs are fabulous so I thought I'd share a few of my favourites with you all.
Aztec all the way!

(check out more some of her stuff at selfridges and net-a-porter!)

The second competition is one I will definitely be going to! Jasper Conran catwalk show? YES PLEASE. We get access to a special lounge (ooh), an exclusive viewing platform (oooh), a fashion stylist on-hand for insider fashion tips (ooooh), champagne and refreshment (oooooh) AND the official London Fashion Week canvas tote bag designed by Mulberry.

Ooh la la, Jasper Conran

Oh. My. God.
Excuse me while I faint.

So it's going to be amazing! Hmm, I wonder who might be sitting on the front row...

I'll keep you posted!

Okay so I know I haven't posted in a while but I lost someone very close to me last week. Not going to lie, I'm finding it extremely hard to deal with.

Just wanted to update you guys, I'll be back soon!

fashion fashion fashion

Every time I open an ELLE magazine or walk past one of my favourite shops I feel exhilarated and I’m eager to delve into the wonderland that is the fashion world.

These feelings of excitement and enthrallment triggered by clothes and accessories are emotions I never tire of. I find it extraordinary how the trends I admire in high street stores have all evolved from catwalk shows which demonstrates how closely linked the entire industry is.

Hola!

Wow, welcome to my (long time coming) blog.

I'm an 18 year old student living in the very cold and very wet country that is England. Suppose it's not all bad though, our capital IS London... a city I fell in love with a long time ago.

Fashion is a huge part of my life and I'm hoping to study fashion design at university this year. Applying for courses was daunting and I remember trying to put it off for as long as possible. I mean, we had to sell ourselves through a few paragraphs. Talk about pressure! Anyway, when I finally got round to it, I couldn’t stop. I talked about everything from my obsession with matching my outfits as a child and the tantrums I used to throw when I couldn’t find my favourite top to the amazing countries I have visited as well as the mesmerizing shows and exhibitions. So far, I've been invited to several interviews... fingers crossed!

Fashion has always been a passion of mine. It is incredibly personal, a form of self-expression which allows a person to be completely individual.

So this blog is my way of expressing myself.

Enjoy
