Hi hi hi
Okay so on my last blog, I mentioned the gazillion deadlines I had to meet which is why I didn't have time to blog :(
As soon as I finally waved goodbye to those, I had exams to revise for :(
Thankfully, everything is finished!!
I only had three exams but boy were they stressful! Fine Art involved three 5 hour days working on a final piece, history was a 1 and a half hour paper on Elizabeth I's reign and Product Design was a 2 and a half hour paper on everything to do with design! All of them went better than I thought so hopefully that means I'm going to university (eeeeek) so the long wait for results begins!
I bought several dress, top and skirt patterns several weeks ago and I've been so excited to start creating clothes again! I'll keep you up to date with everything including my endless shopping sprees since I've saved up (wahoooo)
I PROMISE I'll be blogging more often!

Uh oh, I've done it again...
The past few weeks have been INSANE. I've never felt so stressed in my life.
I've still got about a million deadlines to meet so I haven't had chance to blog (sorry sorry)
However, my product design deadline is tomorrow and guess what? I've finished!
I made a wedding dress based on a sea theme. I melted organza strips to replicate seaweed and placed them over a shell studded (fully boned) corset to 'mask' the glistening treasures. The base material for the entire dress is taffeta and I attached an organza skirt (which is scattered with rhinestones) over the taffeta one.
Here's a picture!
I'd appreciate a few comments, it'll help with my evaluation!

Oh my, I'm sorry for neglecting you!
Okay so I've been slacking in terms of blogging, I admit it.
However, I have an excuse!
A few days after London Fashion Week, I went to on of the most romantic countries in the world (and also one of the major fashion capitals)... haven't guessed yet?
PARIS!
French fashion is super fabulous. I saw so many incredible ensembles!
We went to Notre Dame, the Louvre, walked to the top of the Eiffel Tower (twice!), the Arc de Triomphe, the Sacre Coeur, Montmartre and a few more! Oh and how could I possibly forget having dinner on the Eiffel tower? AMAZING (and super expensive)
We also passed the Moulin Rouge, which has given me a fab idea for my easter fancy dress costume - I'll keep you updated!
Ever since I've been up to my neck in coursework, specially since my product design deadline is next week... panic panic panic panic panic
Back soon,

London Fashion Week - Jasper Conran Autumn/Winter 2013
Neon is definitely the colour of the season according to Jasper Conran.
Models walked along to chart hits which went hand in hand with the bright and youthful designs. Classic cut blazers came first - in neon of course - complete with matching straight skirts and tights. There were shift dresses, leather dress suits, smart black hats, fur and an array of colourful loafers. Then came the sequined dresses. Pretty feminine dresses finished off the show.
(p.s.) apologies for the quality of the pictures, my camera decided to throw a tantrum

fashion week summary
Today was AMAZING.
London Fashion Week has exceeded my expectations for sure... Anya and I were blown away.
London has completely tired me out so I'll fill you all in tomorrow (I'll include pictures - yay) but if I was asked to sum up Jasper Conrans show in one word, that word would be... NEON.

Jasper Conran Show
Right, quick update on tomorrow.
Just found out that the stylist tomorrow is Colomba Giacomini! She's worked for Jimmy Choo and Louis Vuitton as well as Harper's Bazaar... omg.
So I'm BEYOND excited for the show!

feeling lucky...
Hola!
Wow, what a week. When I started this blog, I imagined myself to be posting constantly but then life got in the way. Tomorrow's the day. The day I've been dreading.
On a more positive note, I entered two fashion related competitions recently and guess what? I won them both!
The first was the chance to see Mary Katrantzou's exclusive showcase with champagne on arrival and a free MULBERRY (yes MULBERRY!) tote bag. Unfortunately, the show is tomorrow... which means I can't go. However, her designs are fabulous so I thought I'd share a few of my favourites with you all.
Aztec all the way!
"A hyperrealist aesthetic, cold graphics and industrial jewellry"
(check out more some of her stuff at selfridges and net-a-porter!)
The second competition is one I will definitely be going to! Jasper Conran catwalk show? YES PLEASE. We get access to a special lounge (ooh), an exclusive viewing platform (oooh), a fashion stylist on-hand for insider fashion tips (ooooh), champagne and refreshment (oooooh) AND the official London Fashion Week canvas tote bag designed by Mulberry.
Ooh la la, Jasper Conran
Oh. My. God.
Excuse me while I faint.
So it's going to be amazing! Hmm, I wonder who might be sitting on the front row...
I'll keep you posted!
